Maharashtra: Social media celebrity manhandled by local Shiv Sena leader in Kalyan

KALYAN: A case of assault on a social media celebrity by local Shiv Sena leader and his two associates in the hotel has come to light in Kalyan.
The youth identified as Hemant Sharma, resident of Kalyan East, on Friday late night was celebrating the party inside Kashish International hotel for having 30 thousand followers on social media platform with his friends when local Shiv Sena leader Rahul Patil and his two friends came towards him and manhandled and abused him.
Patil has several criminal cases registered against him including that of extortion, assault and Arms act.
Sharma claimed that he faces threat to his life from Patil and due to same he filed non cognizance(NC) at police station.
The incident of assault has been captured in CCTV camera installed inside the hotel.
Acting on complaint of Sharma, the local Kolsewadi police registered a non Cognizance and booked Patil and his two friends under section 323, 504 and 506 of IPC.
