Anupam Agarwal named KPA director

Mysuru: Anupam Agarwal, a 2008-batch IPS officer, is the new director of Karnataka Police Academy. The post of KPA director is reserved for IGP-rank officer. But the government has downgraded the post and appointed Agarwal as its new director, in its order dated May 13. Anupam Agarwal is Deputy Inspector General of Police. The post of DIG and director of KPA is declared equivalent in the status and responsibilities to the cadre post of DIG, KSRP.
