Vadodara: Even as dates of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team’s visit has not been finalised, MS University is preparing hard to undergo re-accreditation from the autonomous body of University Grants Commission. NAAC assesses and accredits higher education institutes in the country. As part of the NAAC drill, the university undertook a three-day internal inspection of the campus recently as a mock round to evaluate its own preparedness.
The internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) of MSU formed three groups who visited the university campuses as part of the internal evaluation.
While the basic focus remained cleanliness of the campus, the groups assessed the faculties on seven criteria that are considered by NAAC’s peer team for assessment and accreditation.
These included the curricular aspects, teaching (in terms of learning and evaluation), research, consultancy and extension, infrastructure, ICT and library resources, student support and alumni activities, quality initiatives, gender-based activities, environment-based activities and best practices.
