Ludhiana witnesses highest day temperature in May since 2013

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana witnessed highest maximum (day) temperature in May on Sunday as it crossed 45 degrees mark.
Meanwhile, good news for residents is that met department predicts chances of weather disturbance in Ludhiana on Monday and Tuesday.
As weather was clear and sun was firing intense rays, it did heat up conditions in Ludhiana.
The impact of harsh sun reflected on the day temperature which was recorded at 45.5 degrees Celsius, which is 6.9 degrees more than normal and even 0.5 degree more than a day before.
The data of met department of last more than ten years suggests that last time the day temperature in May was more than the current value was in 2013 when on 24 may it was 46.5 degrees Celsius. Last year the maximum temperature in May was highest at 43.1 degrees Celsius on 28 May.
