Mercury may, however, dip by 2-3 notches from Tuesday, the IMD said. As per the weatherman, the temperature is likely to remain around 44 degrees on Sunday and Monday. Ghaziabad, which recorded 45 degrees Celsius temperature on Saturday, is likely to witness 44 degrees on Sunday and 42 degrees on Monday. IMD’s senior scientist RK Jenamani said that similar weather conditions will prevail till May 16. “After that, the temperature will fall due to western disturbances,” he said. Health experts, meanwhile, warned that exposure to heatwave could lead to moderate health concerns. It is advisable for people to avoid dehydration and drink sufficient water, they said. TNN
