JAIPUR: A 22-year-old youth, following an argument with his family, slit his throat and committed suicide in Lalsoth area of
Dausa district on Friday. He was taken to a community health centre where he was declared dead. The primary reason behind his death is said to be a family argument which led him to take the extreme step in a fit of rage.
According to
Mandawari police, the deceased, identified as
Umesh Bairwa, entered into a verbal spat with his wife over a trivial family matter at his residence. “After their argument the accused confined himself in a room and later slit his throat. When his family members heard his screams, they entered the room to check on him,” said a senior police officer.
“As he already suffered excessive bleeding, he was declared brought dead at the
PHC,” said a police officer.
Police have not found any suicide note at the spot or any major reason why he took the extreme step. “Presently the family is in a state of shock. Prima facie it appears that the victim has taken the extreme step in a fit of rage. Also, no foul play is suspected as of now in this case. But it looks like a clear case of suicide. No complaint has been lodged by the family till now,” said the officer.
