Rape complainant ‘manhandles’ Bains’s supporter

Ludhiana: Dramatic scenes were witnessed at the mini secretariat as the woman who had accused former MLA and Lok Insaaf Party chief Simarjit Singh Bains of rape allegedly manhandled latter’s supporter Gurjodh Gill outside the police commissioner’s office on Friday. The woman accused Gill of defaming her on the social media.
The police personnel deputed at the CP office intervened and handled the situation. The woman had already been sitting outside the CP office, seeking arrest of Bains, who had been declared a proclaimed offender by the court.
On Friday, Gurjodh visited the CP office in the afternoon. The woman, who was present outside the mini secretariat, had an argument with him. Gill walked inside the office and the woman followed him with a stick in her hand. The woman tried to hit him, however the cops stopped her from doing so.
Gill said he would file a complaint against the woman.
