Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 4.45 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 3.92 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.39 crore), Tata Motors(number of shares traded: 1.75 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.65 crore), RBL Bank(number of shares traded: 1.64 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.50 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.31 crore), Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 1.10 crore) and Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.97 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 122.75 points up at 15930.75, while BSE Sensex was up 332.82 points at 53263.13 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 7.80 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 3.36 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 3.00 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.64 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
