NEW DELHI: Delhi registered a record GST collection of Rs 2,898 crore in the first month of 2022-23 financial year, officials said on Thursday. Delhi has collected highest ever monthly GST in April. The financial year 2022-23 has begun on a string note with the collection of Rs 2,898 crore revenue under goods and services tax, they said. The record GST collection is also a sound indicator of fast recovery of economic activities in the national capital ravaged by three waves of Covid-19 in the past couple of years. The GST collection in April 2021-22 was Rs 2,325 crore, while it was a meagre Rs 320 crore in 2020-21, officials said. pti
