Hitachi Energy India(up 5.88%), Adani Power(up 4.99%), KPI Green Energy(up 4.99%), Alstom T&D India(up 4.89%), KEC International(up 4.76%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.71%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.03%), Inox wind(up 3.79%), RTNPOWER(up 3.45%) and DPSC(up 2.92%) stood among the top gainers.
ADANIGREEN(down 10.89%), Energy Development Company(down 5.00%), Karma Energy(down 3.75%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 3.11%), NTPC(down 2.96%), JSW Energy(down 1.83%), Torrent Power(down 1.64%), CESC(down 1.57%), Indowind Energy(down 1.29%) and Voltamp Transformers(down 0.61%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 25.85 points down at 15782.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 136.69 points at 52793.62.
Tata Motors(up 8.6%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 3.82%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.8%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.59%), ITC(up 2.25%), UPL Ltd(up 2.17%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.11%), Eicher Motors(up 2.01%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.0%) and Britannia Industries(up 1.92%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 4.4%), JSW Steel(down 3.9%), State Bank of India(down 3.89%), NTPC(down 2.96%), ICICI Bank(down 2.65%), Bharti Airtel(down 2.2%), Axis Bank(down 2.11%), Maruti Suzuki(down 2.09%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.89%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.88%) closed in the red.
