BIJNOR: A 25-year-old man died by suicide after allegedly jumping in front of a train in Naugawan Sadat region of Amroha district in Uttar Pradesh. The local villagers found the victim’s headless body on Wednesday morning near the railway tracks and informed the cops.
Police said the victim killed self after writing a suicide note on his hand, which allegedly reads “my sister in-law is responsible for my death.”
The victim, identified as Gaurav Kumar from Malikhera village in the jurisdiction of Amroha Dehat police station, was allegedly suffering from depression, his family members said. Kumar, son of a farmer, left home on Tuesday afternoon and did not return till late night.
Shailender Chauhan, investigation officer, said, “As of now, it seems to be a suicide case due to domestic conflict. The victim’s brother said that he was under depression for the last few months. The family does not want any police action in the matter. However, the writing on the victim’s hand will be investigated.” Further action is to be taken on the basis of the autopsy report.
