Share price of Apollo Hospital falls as Sensex drops 985.16 points

Share price of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. dropped 3.1 per cent to Rs 3563.55 at 12:48PM (IST) in Thursday's trade. The scrip hit a high of Rs 3648.65 and low of Rs 3543.55 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 3677.55 in the previous session.

The counter had a total traded volume of 12:48PM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 7.91 crore on BSE. The stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 45.08 and a price-to-book ratio of 9.07.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

The firm reported consolidated net sales of Rs 3656.08 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, down 1.79 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 3722.7 crore and down 32.21 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 2765.34 crore.

Its profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 228.37 crore, up 75.06 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
