Delhi reports 970 fresh Covid cases

NEW DELHI: The national capital reported 970 fresh Covid cases and one more death on Wednesday, while the positivity rate declined to 3.34%, according to data shared by the health department.
A total of 29,037 tests to detect the coronavirus were conducted in Delhi a day before, it stated.
With the new cases, Delhi's overall Covid-19 infection tally rose to 18,97,141, while the death toll rose to 26,184.
Doctors say hospitalisations remain low. There are a total of 5,202 active cases in the capital at present. Of them, data shared by the state health department shows that 178 are admitted in various hospitals while the rest are recuperating at home.
Most of the people in Delhi are fully vaccinated because of which fewer Covid patients are requiring hospitalisation, said doctors.
