The city was limping back to normalcy but Tapadiya's murder has now brought back fears of more unrest.
JAIPUR/AJMER: Mobile internet services have been suspended again in Bhilwara after a 20-year-old youth was murdered on Tuesday night.
The district administration strengthened security arrangements in the city on Wednesday as several groups had called for a complete bandh.
Several shops in various markets remained closed even as the police stood guard in the city. Many organisations came out to protest against the murder and sat on dharna at Suchna Kendra.
According to police, three people stabbed one Adarsh Tapadiya outside a sweet shop under the Kotwali police station area late Tuesday night.
Though Tapadiya was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to injuries. The murder rekindled simmering tensions in the city which had been on the edge after some people thrashed two youths in the Sanganer area on May 4. The district administration had moved quickly then to suspend mobile services.

A senior official in Jaipur said that the murder was a result of personal enmity, but the case has taken a communal undertone.
Talking to TOI, Bhilwara SP Adarsh Sidhu said the police have detained three accused in the case and begun investigation. The cops have recovered the weapon used for the crime.
"The situation is completely under control," he said, adding that the police were keeping a close watch on the situation.
Till late afternoon, the district administration and police officials were trying to placate the family and relatives who had initially refused to cremate the victim. But the family later relented and held the final rites.
Ajmer IG Rupinder Singh told TOI that additional forces have been deployed in the city. District collector Ashish Modi requested the people not to pay attention to rumours. "We have suspended mobile internet services. The situation is normal in the city," he said.
