Electric vehicle (EV) batteries have forced the automotive industry to vastly expand its expertise. One important new skill is the ability to understand how hard any given battery can be pushed without placing road users at risk. The key to unlocking this puzzle rests largely on the accuracy and input derived from battery testing procedures, conducted before an EV is handed over to a dealership. To give an EV the best chance of a long, reliable life, manufacturers must make sure their testing mechanisms are top-notch.
