Bafana Bafana forward Lyle Foster will call Belgium his home for the foreseeable future after signing a permanent deal with KVC Westerlo.
The fixed transfer to newly minted Belgian second division champions comes after Foster had been on a season long loan with the club from Vitória de Guimarães, a side he joined in 2020.
His move, set at a figure of almost R17 million, comes with the condition that Vitória keeps 15% of the surplus value of a future sale.
"International A for the South African national team, Foster played 11 games between Vitória SC's A and B teams in the 2020/21 season. On loan to KVC Westerlo this season, the forward has scored five goals and four assists in 25 games," the club said in a statement.
"Vitória wishes Lyle Foster all the best for this new stage of his journey."
The 21-year-old recently took part in the national team's friendly matches against Guinea and France.
