Karnataka: Himalayan Black Bear, 27, dies at Bannerghatta Biological Park
Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) on Thursday lost a Himalayan Black Bear due to prolonged illness. The 27-year-old was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma — malignant tumour in the intestine — said BBP veterinarians who conducted the postmortem.

But for the past five years due to an eye-related disorder, he was confined to the enclosure and hardly came out. Though Mohan was put on normal diet, he refused to eat anything for the past 15 days and was put on intravenous (IV) fluids,” said a BBP official.
