Ludhiana: The police on Tuesday arrested a man for stalking his former employee.
The accused owns a readymade garment and mobile store, where the woman, 20, worked as a salesgirl. Due to his harassment, she had left the job in March.
The 29-year-old accused has been booked under Section 354-D (stalking) of the IPC on the complaint of the woman’s father.
Her father said, “My daughter has worked at the shop of the accused for two years. She left the job as he was harassing her. But after she quit, he started sending her lewd messages. When his repeated calls to her went unanswered, he reached our house.”
ASI Harjinder Singh said the accused has been arrested.
