Uttar Pradesh: SC advocate Ajay Mishra appointed advocate general

PRAYAGRAJ: Senior Supreme Court advocate, Ajay Kumar Mishra, has been appointed as the advocate general of Uttar Pradesh. He is presently working as UP's additional advocate general at the apex court. A decision to this effect was taken by the state cabinet on Tuesday.
Earlier, Mishra initiated his law practice from Allahabad High Court and after attaining several years' experience, he was appointed as additional advocate general of state government at high court.
Subsequently, he shifted to the Supreme Court and has been doing law practice there for the last many years. Born in a family of distinguished lawyers, his father late Justice SR Mishra was a noted high court judge. His younger brother, Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra, is a senior sitting judge of Allahabad High Court.
