Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University syndicate meeting has decided to debar a teacher who was found responsible for repeating same questions in the question paper he prepared for the university degree examinations in the last two consecutive years.
The syndicate took the decision based on an inquiry report submitted by the university pro-vice chancellor P P Ajayakumar. The syndicate has also decided to recover the money spent by the university for conducting the examination. The action taken against the faculty would be reported to the government.
The syndicate has also decided to warn the university examination controller and the officials of the confidential wing for distributing answer key, instead of question paper, to a Covid positive student. Expense for this examination would also be collected from the officials concerned.
Governor Arif Mohammed Khan had last week rejected the excuses cited by the university for these goof ups. Khan, in the capacity of the university chancellor had also directed the university vice-chancellor to take action against those who were responsible for the goof up and report the same.
