14 held for gambling, ₹8L recovered

Ludhiana: Salem Tabri police arrested 14 accused for gambling in Punjabi Bagh on Monday night and recovered Rs 8 lakh from their possession.
SHO inspector Kulwant Singh said, “Accused Inderjit Singh of Mohalla Laxmi Nagar owns a plot in Punjabi Bagh. We received a tip-off that he, along with his accomplices, is gambling there. A police team conducted a raid and nabbed Inderjit and his 13 accomplices. We have also recovered Rs 8,00,200 from the spot.” A case under the Gambling Act has been registered. TNN
