Mysuru: Inclement weather forced Alliance Air to cancel its Mysuru-Goa flight on Sunday night leaving several tourists stranded and fuming at the Mandakalli airport in Mysuru. The flight that was scheduled to depart at 3.25pm was finally cancelled at 11.30pm due to bad weather, said R Manjunath, Mysuru airport director. The Mysuru-bound flight from Hyderabad was diverted to Bengaluru. A passenger, who was scheduled to travel on the flight, said he got a message at 1pm that the flight timing has been rescheduled to 8.25 pm. He was asked to be at the airport before 6.30 pm. “I was already on my way by then, so came to the airport as planned for the 3.25pm flight. We were even issued boarding passes. But after waiting for so many hours we were told it was cancelled,” he added. A grouse of several passengers was that they had to wait for over four hours without any food. Passengers were accommodated on Monday’s flight.
