Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has made headlines at a recent event in New Delhi while responding to Bihar IAS officer’s remarks over the Sultangunj Bridge collapse. One of the most ambitious infrastructural projects of the Nitish govt, the 3,116-metre long bridge had collapsed on April 29. While the accident didn’t result in any injuries, concerns over the quality of material used in construction were raised. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed surprise after the IAS officer blamed "strong winds" for the collapse of a portion of an under-construction.
