Ludhiana: Two days after coming out on bail from Ludhiana central jail, notorious criminals
Vishal Gill, Nanna and their accomplices created ruckus in Amarpura area of division number 2 late on Tuesday night. They not only thrashed a man over a minor issue, brandished pistol and also vandalized vehicles in the area.

Sharma was on a patrol when he crossed the Amarpura area. Seeing police vehicles, the accused escaped from the spot. But the top cop stopped and talked to the residents about the issue. In the meantime, the officials from the respective police station also reached the spot. Further on the directions of Sharma, an FIR was lodged immediately.
During the incident, one man — identified as
Sonu, 35 a property dealer from Amarpura area — suffered injuries. The division number 2 police have registered a case against Vishal Gill, Nanna, Himanshu and Steem and their unidentified accomplices.
Assistant commissioner of police (Central) Harsimrat Singh said, “Sonu along with his relative had gone to a liquor vend in the locality around 10.30pm on Tuesday where they had some argument with the accused, however they left the spot. The accused, who have several criminal cases against them, asked their accomplices to gather after which they attacked Sonu near his house. The accused used bricks to attack Sonu and assaulted him. The accused were also carrying an armed weapon which was captured in a video.”
Sharma said, “I was on a patrol when I noticed people gathering in Amarpura. On checking, I noticed that some bad elements were creating a ruckus. Thereafter, I called the SHO and ACP concerned to the spot and asked them to take action.”
The ACP said the police have lodged an FIR against the accused under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapons), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the
IPC and relevant sections of the Arms Act.
The official said Vishal and Nanna had come out on bail on Sunday. Vishal Gill is a member of Puneet Bains gang which was involved in several crimes including murder bids, dacoity, scuffles and clashes.
