LUCKNOW: A four-year-old boy was electrocuted and died on the spot after he came in contact with a
live wire in Chinhat area of Lucknow on Wednesday.
Police said that the victim
Ansh was playing and contacted an open live wire hanging outside his neighbour's house. Later, the victim tried to pull out from where he was stuck, but he got electrocuted instantly and died.
Passers-by and onlookers immediately alerted
UP 112, and Chinhat police station, after which, police rushed to the spot and found Ansh slumped on the ground unconscious and rushed him to a hospital.

Qasim Abidi, said that Ansh was taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead. "Victim's father, Jeetu Valmiki filed a complaint against his neighbour Ramesh and alleged that negligence of Ramesh has caused the fatal incident," said Abidi.
Jeetu in his complaint has also alleged that live wires always kept hanging outside Ramesh's house as he provided recharge to e-rickshaw drivers. But despite several reminders of the threat it poses for other residents he(Ramesh) failed to obey.
Abidi told TOI that a police team is on the spot and examining the scene of crime following which an FIR will be registered.
