Goa: Active caseload up with 9 infections

PANAJI: Goa's Covid-19 active caseload marginally increased to 49 with nine infections reported on Tuesday. The state positivity rate stood at 1.6% for 540 tests done during the day as against 1.5% recorded on Monday.
The state saw eight recoveries and the recovery rate was steady at 98.4%. The recovery rate has not seen much fluctuation over the last one month.
The number of tests have ranged between 400 to 500 a day, and slightly more on some days.
A health officer said they are keeping a watch if any clusters are emerging so that prompt measures can be taken. "The next few days will indicate if we are witnessing a rise. Presently, a slight increase in numbers is not conclusive to say infections are growing," the officer said.
