College managements to stage protest from today

Hubballi: Karnataka Rajya Anudana Rahita Shala Collejugala Adalita Mandaligala Mattu Noukarar Okkuta will stage an indefinite strike at Belagavi from Thursday, seeking fulfilment of their long pending demands.
Okkuta state president GC Shivappa said here on Wednesday that they will boycott the forthcoming MLC polls from teachers’ constituencies if their demands are not met. The government has neglected Kannada schools and now it is completely neglecting aided schools, he alleged.
He urged the government to organise lit fests and other events only after solving issues of aided Kannada schools. If not the Okkuta will protest against Sahitya Sammelana and other events, he said.
