Geography prof suspended

Mysuru: The University of Mysore on Wednesday suspended H Nagaraj, a professor of geography who is accused of involvement in the assistant professor recruitment scam. He has been suspended pending an inquiry.
Nagaraj was serving as registrar (evaluation) of Karnatak University (KU, Dharwad).
According to UoM registrar R Shivappa, the decision to suspend Nagaraj was taken based on the recommendation made by the university’s legal adviser.
As per government rules, he has been suspended since April 27, Shivappa said. TNN
