Jamshedpur: The Passenger Reservation System (PRS) facility at the Tatanagar Railway Station will be shifted to a new building near the second entry gate at Burmamines on Thursday, officials said. Earlier, the facility was being run from the building located near the main entrance.
Senior Chakradharpur divisional commercial manager Manish Kumar Pathak said, “Two PRS counters will operate in two shifts from 8am and 8pm, respectively. An Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counter will also be functional from the new building.”
The move aims to streamline passenger movement and parking in front of the main entrance. “The new building is spacious and has sufficient space for parking,” he said. “Four UTS counters besides platform ticket counter and the special counters for the aged and the divyang will continue to operate from the existing PRS building,” he added.
