Dr Amar gets Biju scientific excellence award

Bhubaneswar: Prof Dr Amar Kumar Mohanty received the Biju Patnaik Award for Scientific Excellence for the year 2019 at the Investiture Ceremony, organized by the Odisha Vigyan Academy, here on Wednesday.
Science and technology minister Ashok Chandra Panda gave the award that consist of Rs 2 lakh cash prize, along with a citation, certificate, shawl and a gold-coated medal. Prof Mrutyunjay Suara, Prof Susanta Kumar Sahoo and Prof Gopabandhu Jena were given the Samanta Chandrasekhar Award for their contribution in scientific education, research and promotion. They were given Rs 1 lakh with citation, certificate, shawl and medallion each.
