THE Seabreeze Festival committee has announced the return of the popular Arklow festival after a two year hiatus due to Covid.

The event will be held between July 15 and 17.

Arklow Municipal District Councillor, Tommy Annesley said: “The event is full steam ahead and there is a couple of big names coming to the festival.”

A Seabreeze AGM will be held on May 24 in The Royal Hotel at 8p.m. and the Seabreeze Festival committee said they are always looking for new people to join them.

The Seabreeze Princess Competition is also returning on July 3 at The Royal Hotel, and anyone over the age of 18 is encouraged to take part.

There had been concerns about the festival’s future due to construction works on Arklow Main Street.

However, Cllr Tommy said “With help from the council engineers we’ve been able to deal with those concerns and set up the festival.”
