Mysuru: District unit members of the
Aam Aadmi Party (
AAP) staged a protest near the deputy commissioner’s office in Mysuru on Wednesday, accusing the state government and
Karnataka Public Service Commission of corruption .
The protesters raised slogans against the government for not improving the recruitment system.
“Despite a plethora of allegations in the past, the expose of irregularities and corruption in
PSI scam has again brought to fore that all is not well in the state. Though successive governments have promised to eradicate such evils in the recruitment system, scams continue to occur in the KPSC too,” they said.
Addressing the protesters, the district unit president of AAP,
Malavika Gubbivani, condemned the government at the Centre and state, for not eradicating corruption in the recruitment process, when jobs in the government sector were shrinking due to privatisation by the government.
