FT - Liverpool beat Villarreal 3-2 in the second leg to win 5-2 on aggregate to enter their third final in five years
Liverpool are through to their 10th UEFA Champions League final with a commanding win over Villarreal. What a comeback from Liverpool in the second half, after they looked almost clueless in the first 45 minutes of the match. They went into the break down 0-2, but a totally different team emerged for the second half. Liverpool dominated from the word go in the second half and pressed for goals with a barrage of attacks on the Villarreal goal. Their constant pressure resulted in Fabinho scoring the first goal in the 62nd minute, five minutes later Diaz made it 2-0 to restore the two goal aggregate cushion for them. In the 74th minute, Mane sealed the contest with a solo goal. They will now play the winner of Real Madrid vs Manchester City in the final in Paris on May 28. City lead 4-3 from the first leg.
