25-yr-old from H’bag killed in ‘celebratory firing’ in Ranchi

Ranchi: A 25-year-old man, identified as Jagdish Yadav from Hazaribag, was killed reportedly during celebratory firing while dancing during a marriage procession at New Sachivalaya Colony of Hinoo locality here early on Tuesday. Another person is said to have sustained minor injuries, police said.
However, locals claimed that three assailants shot Yadav. Currently, police are investigating it by collecting CCTV footage and video recording of the event. They refused to comment on the locals’ perspective of the crime. The preliminary probe said the marriage procession reached the bride’s house around 1 am on Tuesday.
