Bhulekh UP (http://upbhulekh.gov.in/) is the official website of the Uttar Pradesh government, using which land owners in the state can check Bhulekh Naksha UP among other land records. The portal, also known as Bhulekh Uttar Pradesh, can also be used to check Khasra Khatauni UP.
Launched by the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Board, Bhulekh UP has ended the need for citizens to visit the tehsil office to verify UP land records since the jamabandi records are now available online.
UP Bhulekh has also brought much-needed transparency in the medieval physical book-keeping system that has remained in India for centuries.

Bhulekh UP: How to obtain khasra khatauni UP?
Follow these steps to check khasra khatauni UP details on Bhulekh UP portal:
Step 1: Visit the official Bhulekh UP portal, bhulekh up nic in up. On the homepage, select ‘Khatauni (adhikar abhilekh) ki naqal dekhein’ (view the copies of record of rights).
Step 2 to check khasra khatauni UP: You will now be asked to key in the captcha visible on the screen. Enter the captcha and click on the ‘submit’ button.
Step 3 to check khasra khatauni UP: You will now be asked to select the district, the tehsil and the village, to check the land record.
Step 4 to check khasra khatauni UP: You can now proceed with your search by entering the khasra/gata number or the khata number or the name of the owner (khatedar). Select the option you want to proceed to search with and hit the search button. In the image below, we are using the search by khasra/gata number.
Step 5 to check khasra khatauni UP: To check the details of this khata number, select the number and click on the option ‘uddharan dekhein’ (view account details).
Last step to check khasra khatauni UP: The following page will show the details of Khasra Khatauni UP, as shown in the image below.

How to check Bhulekh naksha UP?
Step 1 to view bhulekh naksha UP: Go to https://upbhulekh.gov.in/public/public_ror/Public_ROR.jsp.
Step 2 to view Bhulekh naksha UP: From the list select your district, tehsil and village, to view Bhulekh naksha UP.

Step 3 to view Bhulekh naksha UP: On the following page, you will have to option to search Bhulekh naksha UP using the following options:
- Using Khasra or gata number.
- Using khata number
- Using name of khatedar, or
- Using the date of exchange of ownership
On providing this information, you will be able to see UP Bhulekh naksha.

The information pertaining to land ownership is quite important if you are purchasing land in UP. You can get the information about land ownership pattern by selecting the ‘khatauni ansh nirdharan ki naqal dekhein’ (view the details of land ownership of a khatauni) on the Bhulekh UP portal.
As explained in the process above, you will be asked to key in the names of the district, tehsil and the village to proceed. Following this, you will also be asked to continue your search using the khasara/gata number or the khata number or the name of the owner (khatedar). How to check disputed property on UP Bhulekh?
Step 1: Before you invest in land or property in UP, you must also check if the property is caught in any kind of legal or financial dispute. This can be done, using the ‘भूखंड/ गाटे के वाद ग्रस्त होने की स्थिति जाने ‘ (know the status of encumbrances on land/ property) option on the home screen.
Step 2: Once you click on that option, you will be redirected to a new page, providing you with a list of all the districts in UP, tehsil and village. Select the relevant options.
Step 3: After you are done selecting your district, tehsil and village, you will be redirected to a new page, asking you to provide the gaata number. Input the gaata number and click on the ‘खोजें’ option.

What is bhulekh?
Bhulekh is a Hindi term, made by combining two words – bhu (meaning land) and lekh (account). In conjunction, the two terms mean account of land. The term bhulekh means land details or land ownership details in India. The term Bhulekh is the same as the term ‘land records’ in English.
