DIBRUGARH: The crime branch has launched a probe into the alleged incident where a pornographic video clip appeared in the back screen of a stage during a progamme attended by Union minister of state for petroleum and natural gas in Tinsukia on Saturday. A projector operator has already been detained by the crime branch in connection with the incident.
The alleged incident took place during the launch of the pilot rollout of methanol-blended M-15 petrol in Tinsukia by Indian Oil. Union MoS

Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) chairman Bikul Deka, along with senior officials of the oil industry.
The launch was followed by a meeting at a city hotel when the alleged incident took place. According to sources, the embrassing episode took place when an Indian Oil official was delivering his speech on the stage while a projector screen was running on the background showing video clips of the methanol-blended petrol project. While the projector operator was changing a video clip, a pornographic movie suddenly appeared on the projector screen leaving everyone shocked. The video ran for 3-4 seconds before the operator hurriedly cut it off.
Talking about the incident, Teli said, "At that time I was listening to a speech being delivered by an Indian Oil official. I was not looking at the screen and was unaware of it. Later, my PA (personal assistant) came near me and told be about the incident. The DC was also sitting there. I directed him to immediately start an inquiry. If it is true, strong action will be taken against the guilty person."
