BJP responsible for disrupting peace: Rai

Mangaluru: Former minister B Ramanath Rai said people of Dakshina Kannada district and the state will teach BJP a lesson for disrupting peace in society and failing to check the prices rise of essential commodities. To mislead people, the Centre has asked the states to cut VAT on petrol and diesel as a relief to consumers.
He told reporters on Monday that the ruling BJP is raking up emotional issues on caste, religion, and patriotism, and it will repent for its act in future. After church attacks, Congress won seven seats in Dakshina Kannada, he said.
Reacting to BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel’s allegation that Congress was responsible for riots, Rai said names of none of Congress activists figures in FIRs related to murders in the state. Congress leaders are not involved in delivering provocative speeches, he said.
