Vishwanath on Monday said the CM should follow the Constitution while administering the state.
Questioning the CM’s ‘soft approach’ in administrating the state, Vishwanath said: “It is not palatable (to the public.) This should not be the stance of a CM. Bommai should follow the Constitution.”
Referring to his experience as a minister,
MLA and MP, Vishwanath said the Bommai government is facing flak from the public due to scams and law and order issues. “Even BJP workers will not accept his stance that he is soft,” he said. He asked the chief minister to be hard on RSS, Bajrang Dal and Sri Ram Sena, accusing them of vitiating the communal harmony in the state.
Vishwanath said police officials are involved in the police sub-inspector (PSI) recruitment scandal and asked the investigating officials to focus on it. According to him, elected representatives and the executive branch of the government is complicit in the scam. He criticised BJP national general secretary CT Ravi. “Name calling will not help,” he added.
He said the party should field new faces in the next assembly polls, and extended support to the party’s national general secretary BL Santosh.
