The Haryana state government has undertaken a step to help the problem of job insecurity in India in the form of the Haryana Saksham Yojana. This step was undertaken on November 1, 2016. What is the Saksham Yuva Yojana?

The Saksham Yuva Yojana is an initiative of the Haryana government to support unemployed youngsters. The Saksham Yuva Yojana scheme is only applicable to intermediate (10+2), graduate, and postgraduate students. It offers welfare and support to the unemployed individuals through a monthly unemployment Saksham Yuva salary and by providing employment opportunities. The Employment Department is informed about any vacancies in State government departments, colleges, boards, and corporations. The Employment Department then sends SMS or Email notifications to the registered graduates about the work opportunities.

Haryana Saksham Yojana: Eligibility

Eligibility for the Saksham Yojana

Any Haryana State resident who has passed their Post-Graduate and Graduates (Science, Engineering, and Science equivalent) degree from the recognised University/affiliated colleges in the State of Haryana, NCT Delhi, and UT Chandigarh.

Any Haryana State resident educated youth aged between 21 to 35 years registered with employment exchange can register on the Saksham portal for taking benefit from the scheme.

The eligibility criteria for the Saksham Yojana by the Haryana Government are:

1st component – For monthly unemployed allowance

Age – The applicant must be between 18 to 35 years of age.
Education qualification – The applicant should have finished:
10+2 or a two-year diploma/certificate course after class 10 from a Board/University recognized by the Haryana Government.
Graduation from a Haryana government-recognized Board/ University.
Post-graduation from a Haryana government recognized Board/University.
Domicile – The applicant must be a domicile of the Haryana state.
Others –
The applicant must register under the Live Register of Employment Exchanges in Haryana for a period of a minimum of 3 years.
The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 3 lakhs from all sources.
The applicant must not be employed in any sector.
Ex-government service employees who have been dismissed are not allowed to apply for the Yojana.

2nd Component – For honorarium

Age –
For 10+2, the applicant must be between 18 to 35 years old.
For Graduate and Postgraduate, the applicant must be between 21 to 35 years old.

Education qualification – The applicant should have completed 10+2/ graduation/post-graduation.

For post-graduation, the applicant must have completed the degree through regular courses from Punjabi University, Patiala, and any University recognized in UT Chandigarh, NCT Delhi, or Haryana.

Domicile – The applicant must be a domicile of Haryana.
Others –

The applicant must be registered under the Live Register of Employment Exchanges in Haryana.
The applicant must not be employed in any sector.
Ex-government service employees who have been dismissed are not allowed to apply for the Yojana.

The allowance paid to the eligible applicants is as follows:

Matric pass – Rs 100/Month
10+2 – Rs 900/ Month
Graduate – Rs 1500/Month
Postgraduate – Rs 3000/Month

Haryana Saksham Yojana: How to apply?

To apply for the Haryana Saksham Yojana, follow the below mentioned process :

On the home page, click on the ‘Login/sign in’ option. From the drop-down menu, select the SAKSHAM Yuva option.

On the page that opens, click on the ‘Sign Up/ Register’ option. This option is usually present in the lower part of the page.

Now, choose education qualification – 10+2, graduate, or postgraduate.

Click on ‘Go to Registration’.
On the new tab that opens, click on the checkbox and declare whether you’re a domicile of Haryana.

Now, fill in the necessary details that are asked, such as your name, address, date of birth, phone number, aadhaar number, etc.

After you have completed filling out the form, an OTP will be sent to the provided mobile number.

Click on ‘Register’ and complete the process.
