MUMBAI: Engineering aspirants to colleges in
Maharashtra will take the upcoming MHT-CET from August 5 to 11 (physics, chemistry and maths). Those who wish to take pharmacy (physics, chemistry and biology) will take the entrance test from August 12 to 20.
Last year, a total of 5.2 lakh candidates took the MHT-CET. While 82,955 students joined various engineering courses, another 29,060 took the entrance test and joined the pharmacy programme. The state government announced the dates for the various entrance tests to professional courses on Monday. Soon after, the state's
CET cell conducted the entrance test for MBA/ MMS programmes from August 23-25; last year, a total of 1.3 lakh candidates took the
exam and 36,142 students took admission to the various management courses.
The MCA entrance exam is on August 4 and 5; that for a bachelor's in hotel management and catering technology is on August 21. The entrance test for the three-year law
course is on August 3 and 4-in 2021-22, a total of 68,875 aspirants took this test and 17,350 sought admission to various institutes-and the test for the five-year law course is on August 2. The five-year law entrance test was taken by 2,44,882 candidates last year and 8,853 took admissions based on their score in this CET.
The BEd CET is on August 21 and 22 and this is another popular test; last year it was taken by 75,599 candidates.
