PATNA: After the release from jail following the completion of bail formalities in a case related to the fodder scam, it was being speculated that the
RJD supremo,
Lalu Prasad Yadav, would visit
Patna soon. But, due to health reasons his programme has been delayed, according to the party sources.
Lalu was released from jail on Thursday and was expected to reach Patna on May 1. However, a senior RJD leader said, “Lalu ji has caught some infection after which he is being kept on antibiotics. Though his creatinine level has slightly come down, he is still under doctors’ observation. His programme to visit Patna will be decided only after his health condition improves.”
RJD state spokesperson
Chitranjan Gagan said, “The date for his visit cannot be decided now unless the doctors give their nod. It all depends on the doctors’ advice.”
Lalu’s arrival holds importance at the moment as the elder Yadav scion
Tej Pratap has recently created several controversies. “After
Lalu ji comes, he will try to control the situation. After all, he is a father and will think best for both of his sons,” said an RJD leader.
