NAGPUR: Six senior officers, having Nagpur connections, were among the ones to receive Insignia from State director General of police (DGP) for their exemplary services and contributions over the years in the department.

Sudhir Nandanwar, posted at Chandrapur, who resided and began his career as a probationary sub-inspector in city several years ago, was among the others to have received the honor.
Senior Inspector
Jayesh Bhandarkar, posted in traffic department in city, was also one of the recipients along with senior inspector of Sitabuldi police station Atul Sabnis who had earlier worked with Maharashtra anti-terrorist squad (ATS) in Mumbai and was behind several key operations.

Gajanan Kalyankar of Ambazari police station and Senior inspector Anchal Mudgal, now posted in Nashik, too were among the recipients. senior inspector
Pramod Ghonge of Umrer police station, who had earlier worked with Anti-corruption wing and also in Maoist-affected Gondia district, also was named among the recipients.
Assistant sub-inspector
Ratan Umbarkar, now posted at the escort cell, too was named in the list of the recipients. Umbarkar had earlier worked with Nagpur crime branch and other different units in the city too.
Asst sub-inspector
Shreeniwas Mishra, now retired, too had received the DG Insignia.
Hordes of officers and constabulary from yet another Maoist-affected district Gadchiroli too were among the ones to have received the honor.
