All the five had gone for dinner at a restaurant in Alpha 1. “Around 11.30pm on Saturday, they were returning to Alpha 1,” he said. “CCTV footage of the area shows they were crossing the road when a red car hit them and sped away. All of them suffered grievous injuries. While the number plate and make of the car is not very clear, we are trying to trace it,” the SHO added.
The students were rushed to a private hospital nearby. Ayush died during treatment while the other four injured are undergoing treatment.
Police said the parents of the students had been informed. On the basis of a complaint, an FIR has been registered against the unknown driver under sections 304A (death due to negligence) and 279 (rash driving) of the

“The two were standing behind the water tanker and were watering the plants with a hose. A dumper hurtling down the road hit the two men. Both died before they could be taken to the hospital. The driver left the vehicle and fled the scene. We had seized the dumper and arrested the driver later,” said a senior officer.
