The head teacher of a government primary school in Bihpuria in upper Assam's Lakhimpur district on Saturday died by suicide due to workload burden because of lack technical knowledge. Teachers associated with the deceased, identified as Gopal Chandra Sarma, said he could not handle pressure of imparting education through digital mode of late. SP (Lakhimpur) BM Rajkhowa said, "In the suicide note that police recovered, the teacher mentioned that he could not handle work pressure and his lack of technical knowledge. The deceased, however, did not blame anyone for his death." Sarma was the headmaster of Kolabil Mornoi Primary School. Assam State Primary Teachers' Association's president Akhil Chandra Nath and general secretary Ratul Chandra Goswami demanded a thorough probe the incident.
