GURUGRAM: A 15-year-old boy was allegedly electrocuted to death after coming in contact with a high tension wire in Sector 12A on Friday afternoon.
According to the police, the deceased,
Sameem worked with his father in his confectionery shop. He was working when a man — Raju, an employee at the neighbouring finance company — asked
Sameen for help.
There was no electricity at the finance company. So, Raju asked Sameen to fix the wire, following which the latter climbed the stairs to the roof when he was handed an aluminum pipe by Raju. “The rod touched the 11,000KV wire and he was electrocuted and died on the spot,” a police official said.
According to the deceased’s brother,
Naeem, who is also the complainant in the case, he heard his brother’s scream and came out to see that Sameen had been electrocuted.
“The employees of the company,
Raju and Arvind, ran from the spot when the incident took place. They committed a mistake by handing over an aluminium pipe to my brother for fixing an electric wire. They are responsible for his death,” Naeem wrote in his complaint.
An FIR has been filed at Sector 14 police station under Section 304A (causing death to a person by doing a rash or negligent act) of the
IPC.
