77-year-old man found dead inside home in Thane

THANE: The body of a 77-year-old man was found inside the apartment of a housing complex in the Vasant Vihar area of Thane city.
The deceased has been identified as Prabhakaran Thomas, a resident of Palash Society near Prachi hospital, said Avinash Sawant, the official from the Regional Disaster Management Cell .
“The neighbours alerted police that Thomas is not responding hence, the police who in turn alerted the RDMC. Immediately a team of the RDMC and firemen along with police rushed to the scene and opened the main door with the lash door breaker and entered the room only to find the man lying lifeless on the floor,” Sawant informed.
