Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:14AM

Agro Phos(up 10.00%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 4.44%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.93%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 2.66%), Madras Fertlizers(up 1.33%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.03%), G S F C(up 0.48%), Coromandel International(up 0.21%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.10%) and KRISHANA(up 0.08%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries(down 1.84%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.41%), ZUARIAGRO(down 1.27%), National Fertilizer(down 0.83%), Aries Agro(down 0.74%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.43%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.42%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.33%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.31%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 28.4 points up at 17273.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 119.12 points at 57640.18 at around 10:14AM.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.56%), Tata Steel(up 2.16%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.12%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.71%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.47%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.09%), Shree Cement(up 1.03%), ICICI Bank(up 0.83%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.78%) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.77%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Axis Bank(down 4.75%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.61%), Wipro(down 1.7%), SBI Life(down 1.65%), Coal India(down 1.37%), Britannia Industries(down 1.04%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.87%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.72%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.61%) and Asian Paints(down 0.53%) were trading in the red.
