Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 2593.42 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 2553.64 crore), RIL(Rs. 2368.54 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1974.64 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1550.29 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1470.51 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 1279.02 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1235.66 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 1003.81 crore) and Tata Motors(Rs. 972.54 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 142.5 points down at 17102.55, while BSE Sensex fell 460.19 points to 57060.87.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 6.57 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 3.89 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.46 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.33 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
