Nadda on Friday told a gathering of Vaishnav Yuva Organization (VYO) that he would take up the matter of releasing
Yamuna waters and the pollution in it. The issue was raised by
VYO founder
Vrajrajkumarji Mahodayshri during a rally to mark the 545th birth anniversary of Shri Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhu.
Vrajrajkumarji pointed out that the waters of Yamuna are no longer reaching the ghats that were revered by Vaishnavs. He said that the water had been stopped at Hathnikund. Requesting Nadda to take up the issue with the central government, he also pointed out that polluted water was now flowing in the river at the ghats.
Nadda, who was in the city to flag off the vehicle rally organised by VYO, said that he will take up the matter with the central government. He said that the government will not step behind in doing whatever it can.
Nadda lauded VYO for it service to society. He said that the organisation had set up over 29 PSA oxygen plants, including some in rural areas, for Covid-19 patients. Nadda had remained present in a virtual event to dedicate these plants. Nadda said that the organisation had provided over 600 oxygen concentrators, 25 ventilators and 25 BIPAP machines. Nadda visited the city for the first time after becoming the national president of the BJP. He got a resounding welcome at the airport. The city unit of the BJP organised a rally till the Airport Circle.
