Gaya DM orders probe against district officer

Gaya: District magistrate Thiyagarajan SM has constituted a probe team to conduct an inquiry into the charges of sexual harassment levelled by a female employee against the district panchayati raj officer (DPRO), Rajeev Singh. The DM has sought the inquiry report within 48 hours.
The probe team, headed by deputy development commissioner (DDC) Suman Kumar, includes labour superintendent Sneha Srijan and district programme officer, ICDS (integrated child development scheme), Suchi Smita Padam.
A female employee of the district panchayati raj office has written to the chief minister Nitish Kumar, requesting justice in this case. In the letter, she alleged that the officer called her in his office in the name of laptop and tried to molest her.
